Why Ethereum Price Could Skyrocket to $3,000 Within Days or Weeks

Ethereum ($ETH) is poised for a rally that could see its price skyrocket to $3,000 and beyond, a level last visited at the beginning of the year.
Reasons why Ethereum price could hit $3,000 soon
According to one analyst, $ETH sat on its launchpad when it hit the $1,580 level in early July. Historically, this point has been associated with rallies spanning 35.48% up to 202.66% (seen in 2025).

Even more, the coin broke above its Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) 0.8 pricing band at $1,800 in early August. Historically, clearing this threshold has pushed Ethereum towards and even above its realized price, which at present is $2,245.
Furthermore, around the same period, the coin formed an MVRV momentum golden cross. This signal has been time-tested and approved, with its appearance preceding upside moves of up to 166%.
A second analyst has concurred with this thesis, saying now is the best time to accumulate $ETH. Michael van de Poppe says waiting on another clearer sign is a major risk since the cryptocurrency is volatile and therefore capable of making massive price swings in short periods of time. The way he sees it, achieving $3,000 in a few days or weeks would be no surprise.
“The ideal moment to be positioning yourself into $ETH is literally right now. Everybody is waiting for that ultimate confirmation, but that never comes.”
What could affect $ETH’s future price?
Achieving $3,000 will be no mean feat, as it is a major resistance zone that has previously seen over 10 million $ETH traded.
Additionally, while whale accumulation supports prices and feeds into retail FOMO, liquidity is telling a different story. As of August 12, USDT liquidity has shrunk by $4 billion in 60 days, indicating capital flight from the crypto ecosystem.
Regulatory evolution could also affect the crypto market, with the SEC discussing industry guidelines as the CLARITY Act stalls.
