VanEck Head of Digital Asset Research Reiterates Bitcoin Price Prediction for 2029!

Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Asset Research at VanEck, maintained his optimistic forecast for Bitcoin’s future price performance. Sigel predicts Bitcoin will reach $100,000 again next year, and if a similar market cycle occurs, the cryptocurrency could rise to $500,000 by 2029.
Sigel’s assessment indicates that long-term bullish expectations for the Bitcoin market remain. The VanEck executive specifically defends high price targets based on the assumption that Bitcoin’s past price cycles could be similarly repeated in the future.
In the Bitcoin market, price cycles are generally evaluated in conjunction with factors such as supply dynamics, halving events, investor demand, and institutional capital inflows. In the past, Bitcoin has experienced significant increases, particularly following block reward halvings. Therefore, investors are closely monitoring the potential impact of future supply reductions on the price.
Sigel’s $100,000 prediction implies that Bitcoin would need to rise significantly from current levels, while his $500,000 target for 2029 requires a much stronger market cycle. The VanEck executive points out that for such a scenario to materialize, price dynamics similar to previous bull markets would need to emerge.
However, Bitcoin’s future performance is not determined solely by past cycles. Global interest rate policies, institutional investor interest, regulatory developments, capital movements in the ETF market, and overall risk appetite are also among the key factors that can influence the price.
If Sigel’s prediction comes true, Bitcoin is expected to reach new highs in the coming years, with the $500,000 target standing out as one of the most striking examples of long-term optimistic scenarios in the cryptocurrency market.
